Langtang Helambu Trek – Trip Overview
Langtang Helambu Trek is combination of various geographical adventure with classical north of Kathmandu along the border of Tibet: Langtang, Gosainkunda and Helambu. This trek create the opportunity to visit glacier in low elevation and explore villages and culture with comfortable way. Langtang helambu trek can be done while returning to Kathmandu via the holy lakes of Gosainkunda at 4,300 m. As Hindu has faith that God Shiva plunged his trident (Trisul) into the ground in order to obtain water. The Trisuli River has its source in the lakes; thus the name.
Due to the majestic snow covered mountain and wonderful climate Helambu valley is very. This trail covers the typical highland Sherpa villages along with beautiful rhododendron forests. Moreover this route covers the various regions like Taramarang to the Gosaikunda Lake and the lower Jugal Himal from the north.

Langtang Helambu Trek – Outline Itinerary
Day 01 –Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m). Overnight at a Hotel.
Day 02 –Guided Sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley. Overnight at a Hotel.
Day 03 –Drive to Syabru Besi (1,462 m) on a Public Bus – 8 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 04 –Trek to Lama Hotel (2,500 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 05 –Trek to Langtang village (3,307 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 06 –Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,798 m) – 4 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 07 –Kyanjin Gompa Exploration Day. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 08 –Trek Back to Lama Hotel (2,500 m) – 5.5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 09 –Trek to Thulo Syabru (2,250 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 10 –Trek to Sing Gompa (3,250 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 11 –Trek to Gosainkunda (4,300 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 12 –Cross the Laurebinayak Pass (4,610 m) and Trek to Ghopte (3,430 m) – 6 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 13 –Trek to Melamchi Gaon via Tharepati Pass (3,490 m) – 6 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 14 –Trek to Tarkeghyang (2,560 m) – 5.5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 15 –Trek to Shermathang (2,621 m) – 5.5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 16 –Trek to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (846 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 17 –Drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar to Kathmandu on a Public Bus – 4 hours . Overnight at a Hotel.
Day 18 –Leisure Day and Farewell Dinner in Kathmandu. Overnight at a Hotel..
Day 19 –Transfer to the International Airport for Your Final Departure.
Accommodations
We will be staying at 3 star hotels in Pokhara and Kathmandu and teahouses during the langtang helambu trek. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis. And Single supplement will be served on request and will have additional cost. We will have rooms with attached washrooms in most parts of the trek but according to place it can be afforded. In higher elevations single rooms are not available like in Kathmandu and the lower elevation regions but Himalayan Adventure Nepal will do our best for your happiness.
Meals
All meals will be served during Helambu Trekking, while Kathmandu and Pokhara only offer breakfast. The hotel will also offer welcome and farewell dinner. The most common dishes on most menus are Nepalese, Tibetan, Indian and the most common Continental.
Can I accomplish this trek?
Langtang Helambu Trek is very interesting trip which is a moderate and suitable for those trekkers who can walk at least 6-7 hours a day with a light backpack. Crossing the pass requires the use of technical climbing equipment and trekkers must be skilled and be prepared. The trail follows a small valley before reaching the glaciated pass where the use of ropes, crampons and ice axes may be necessary.You do not have any technical skill except your perfect physical health. To accomplish this trek you need to have basic good health However, it is always best to start jogging and exercising regularly at least a month before commencing the actual trek. Best Time to Travel
Autumn (Sept. to Nov.) and spring (March to May) are the best seasons for this trek. If you have some other time than this we can customize and make the trip viable.
