Tsum Valley Trek – Trip Overview

The Tsum Valley, located north of Manaslu, is a restricted area until 2008. Hiking routes and trails were discovered not so long ago, which made the area primitive, undiscovered and worth visiting. The Tsum Valley Trekking was once part of Tibet. This is the reason why religion, art, lifestyle, monasteries and prayer flags are all Tibetan culture. This valley is completely different from all hiking routes because people can find changes not only in terms of lifestyle and culture, but also in terms of vegetation, geography and landscape of Manaslu Region. During the Tsum Valley trek, hikers can change slowly in subtropical areas in semi-arid areas, climate change and climatic changes.

The visit to the Tsum Valley begins with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kathmandu and the next day goes to Sotikhola. Sotikhola will be the starting point for our trip. Along the way, we witnessed beautiful rhododendron forests, pine forests, coniferous forests and several waterfalls along the way. The landscape of the Himalayas is hidden throughout the journey and is being sought again and again. We also visited the monastery of Rachen Gompa, Mu Gompaetc. Explore the Tibetan culture and traditions. Some of the mountains that can be seen on foot are the Ganesh Himal, Sringi Himal and Boudha Himal mountains. The area is less exposed, so it is an area that is not suitable for tourism, which makes the road unbeaten. Gompas has not been explored and the story is unknown.
